今度行われるパッチ3.2にて、マッチメイクに微調整を行い「ベストマッチ(Best Match)」なるゲーム内選択肢がマスター以上のプレイヤー全員に常時適用されるようになります。この選択肢はこれらのスキル枠のプレイヤー全員に、オプション→言語と地域(Language and Region)→好みのゲームサーバー(Preferred Game Server)にて特定のゲームサーバーを好みとして選択している方にも適用されます。
Hello, everyone. The StarCraft II development team has been hard at work on ladder revamp. Before we get into the details, we wanted to point out many of the improvements were due to the heavy community collaboration we’ve been working towards for the past year or so. Thank you so much for continuing to work on the development of StarCraft II with us, so that we can make big improvements to the game such as this one.
There are many ways to take the direction of a ladder system within a game. For example, you can go for a system that makes everyone progress over time, or you can go for a skill-based system. For StarCraft II, due to its competitive nature, our main goals were to increase transparency and give a better reflection of player skill.
We made a few improvements in order to achieve this goal. Most important is showing the exact player skill at all times. This will be done by clearly displaying the player’s MMR. We also added a progress bar that will show exactly how far you are from promotion.
We broke up each league into 3 tiers, so players know where they stand within the league. Your tier will now show on your current league badge. Each player’s MMR will display the exact current skill of the player, whereas the league and tier badge information will display the highest rank achieved in the current season so far.
We also wanted to make the Grandmaster league more accurate and meaningful. In order to do this, there will be promotions and demotions from GM league on a daily basis. Another benefit to this change is that we will be able to use a more accurate list of GM players for WCS qualification going forward.
These are the big system improvements, but we also made a lot of user interface upgrades as well. First, we made changes to the promotion celebration. Second, we updated the league icon animations. Third, we made the league borders more visually distinct. And finally, we added additional key information to the score screen that shows changes to your MMR and your progress towards promotion.

オーマイガー!凄い素晴らしかった!僕らもやっと昨日見る事ができた。ほとんどの視聴者と比べ、World of WarcraftとWarcraft 3が僕にとって人生で一番好きなPCゲームのうちの2つなので偏見がちょっと入っているかもしれないけど、とても素晴らしい体験だった!僕は絶対また見に行く。
※久々(と言うかスタクラ情報和訳で初めて?)大幅に意訳しました。元々は「flash an approving thumbs up」で「満足そうにちょっとだけ親指を立てようとも」なんですが、この場合はファンの子に何か「やったね!」的なモーションをチラリと見せる、と言う意味あいと、そもそもユーモア的な説明文であるとの事でドヤ顔にしてみたまでです。ってかそもそもこのポートレート名も遠くから片思いの相手(先輩男子)を見つめながら「私に気付いて、先輩…」と恋い焦がれる女子高生が欧米のアニヲタの定番ミームの1つだと言う事に気づかなければ全く面白くないんですよね。
